Sometimes things are just fun to make.
This rectangle pendant began as a semi-crackle technique. Instead of a full crackle of white on black, it gave white crackle, shades of gray and black. Stamped with a daisy. I have two daisy pendants on the gray that have a sidewalk, street look but I also decided that one needed to have some color. Alcohol inks in purple, blue and yellow have been applied. The transparency of ink allows a peek at the semi-crackle below. It is simple, yet interesting. A lot to see in a single pendant. The pendant said, "Make me extra long." (Really! ha!) So, it hangs on 32 inches of 3mm cord from a silver tone bail. The closure is a large lobster claw clasp. The free-form rectangle shape has a rustic look. It is 3 inches long and about 7/8 of an inch wide. It is coated with UV resin. This was one of those pieces I was tempted to keep for myself. I may have to make some more!
Please note: Alcohol inks contain dyes. Dyes can fade over time. Therefore, when not wearing this piece, please store it away from sunlight. Along with the resin coating, this will help you to preserve this piece.
